Interview with Geordie Shore’s Holly Hagan!

It’s no secret that I am a huge Geordie Shore fan! It’s truly my guilty pleasure! Series 9 kicks off next month…9 can you believe it!! One of the long running Geordie Shore girls Holly Hagan is a right character as GS fans will know. She’s very fun, flirty and always keeps us entertained! Holly has a new clothing line with The Fashion Bible which you can see pics of some of the range throughout the interview. Holly has also launched her new book 'Not Quite A Geordie' available through Amazon for £10.49 Hardback or £6.23 Kindle with delivery October 2nd.  Holly also has sassy new image as seen in the last season and with her recent body transformation she’s been a very busy girl.

I have been lucky enough to interview the Geordie Shore star, enjoy!

Season 8 of Geordie Shore has just finished and we saw your new slender figure and sassy attitude. How well do you think you managed being sassy this season?

I think I managed pretty well don’t you think?! Okay I had a little slip up when it came to Kyle but I fancied him and we got on really well. Other than that, I’ve changed the way I dress a bit and like playing a bit of hard to get.

This season seemed very tame in comparison to others; do you think this is due to the cast growing up?

Yes I think so, we’ve all grown up along with the show, but I still think this series was pretty wild, we had some messy parties in the house.

How would you describe your own personal style?

Eclectic. I like to dress a bit different to other girls, mixing up with some vintage items. I don’t really tend to follow trends, but I’m predicting flares to be a big hit for winter!

You now have your own fashion collection. What was the experience like of putting that together?

I’ve loved every minute of it. I love choosing what goes in and the shoots are really fun. The team are great over at thefashionbible.co.uk

How involved in the design process were you?

I’ve been pretty hands on since the beginning. I’ve been on buying trips and get to choose from a wide selection of clothing to put together a really great collection.

What sort of women is your collection aimed at?

It’s definitely aimed at real women. Anyone can wear the clothes, they range from a size 6 to a size 26. I find it really difficult to wear clothing as I’m curvy but these clothes are aimed at the everyday women, not just skinny models.

What are your favourite items from your collection?

I’ve got some new additions going online in the next few days, there’s some really nice dresses, I love the knit cardigans and patterned trousers.

At what events and destinations would you wear your range to and why?

There’s some pieces that can take you from day to night such as the patterned trousers. I always like to include a few going out dresses, and then there’s the Sassy t-shirts that can be worn when I’m feel extra sassy.

Are there any types of clothing you would not wear?

I don’t really wear any of those short bandage dresses that most girls wear. They’re not really my thing.

What is your favourite outfit for a night out?

It depends where I’m going. For an event I like a tailored, slim fitting jumpsuit with a plunging neckline. I’m really into suits at the moment actually. But if its more casual, I can dress down and wear something cool and vintage.

Who is your fashion/style icon?

I don’t really have anyone in particular. I mix and match.

Your look has drastically changed during your time in Geordie Shore. How has your diet changed?

I’ve just found the right balance. Fad diets may work for the short term but I’ve just found cutting out things like bread and alcohol can really make a difference. I just watch my carb intake. I don’t cut carbs out altogether, I just moderate it.

What do you typically eat in a day compared with what we have seen in previous seasons of Geordie Shore?

If I have time, I have scrambled eggs in the morning or some fruit if I’m on the go. For a mid morning snack I’d have a Slender Blend protein shake from www.proteinworld.com. They’re great for fixing a sweet tooth but give you protein for energy, with low carb. Then a chicken salad or meat and veg for dinner.

What is your exercise routine like?

I work out with my personal trainer when I get time. It’s quite difficult when I’m so busy but he works me really hard doing cardio and some weight training.

You are on TV and being photographed a lot of the time. Looking after yourself must play a big part in your life. What are you favourite beauty products and why?

I couldn’t live without having my eyebrows penciled, or concealer.

Do you have a set beauty routine?

Pretty much yeah, doing loads of photo shoots and having my makeup done all the time, I’ve actually got quite good at applying my own makeup so I’ve got a bit of a routine now to get the look I like.

What kind of maintenance does it take to keep your glam look?

I’ve got quite quick at putting my own makeup on, I have a set routine of what I do so it doesn't take me that long to get ready these days.

As well as launching your own clothing line you have also released a single and music video covering Kelis' hit single, Milkshake. How was the experience for you?

It was SO much fun, I loved every minute of it. It’s every girls dream to be a pop star and have their own music video.

Will you be releasing any more songs?

Erm, I’m not sure at the minute, watch this space.

Finally, what else is coming up for you?

I’ve got my autobiography coming out called 'Not Quite A Geordie'. That’s really exciting as people get to learn a little bit more about me and what my life has been like. Also, there will be more additions to my clothing range with www.thefashionbible.co.uk

I would like to thank Holly for her time with this interview. I look forward to seeing Holly in the next season of Geordie Shore!
