World Foods Friday!

I find it interesting to learn what other people do to keep healthy. I have teamed up with fellow PUGster and blogger Tahitia Belle Fille (
http://tahitiabellefille.wordpress.com/) to put together some regular posts about food! And so ‘World Foods Friday’ begins – each week I will collaborate with Tahitia Belle Fille and ladies around the globe to bring exciting dishes to share with you all!
This will be to show off peoples favourite meals (healthy or unhealthy) in order to learn people choices from all over the world.
Of course we all eat differently based on what’s available in our areas, locally grown produce, regional dishes, culture and heritage, affordability and of course availability, whether they’re good or bad for us.
Food, health, diet and exercise usually plays a big part in life for many women and I thought we could all learn about each other in a new fun way!
So to get us started I have x2 breakfast options bought to you from Ellie Mae Berry from Pinellas County, Florida who has shared her recipe for her energizing fruit smoothie.

Ellie Mae Berry Pinellas County, Florida.

Here's a recipe for my energizing fruit smoothie!

4-5 raspberries

4-5 blackberries
6-7 chunks of pre-sliced watermelon
3 strawberries (can be any size)
8-10 blueberries
6 oz orange juice (or any fruit juice)
1 6oz pack of plain (or vanilla) lowfat yogurt
2-4 ice cubes

Blend for about 2 minutes, or until smooth. Enjoy!

Next up Cela Hyatt from Sun Valley, Nevada shares her morning favourite Green Tea and spinach smoothie!
The spinach smoothie looks gross, it takes on a kind of muddy brown color, but it tastes good.

Frozen berries (of your choice)
Frozen banana
A couple big handfuls of spinach
2 tbl ground flax seed
Some water to thin in out otherwise you end up with spinach sorbet.

It keeps her full until lunch, even through an intense workout.

A big thanks to Cela and Ellie Mae for their contributions to our entry this week, you can see their original posts here on the Pinup Girl Style blog entry comment section here. Not to mention thanks to Tahitia for this collaboration.  We have dishes from all around the world coming up in the weeks ahead so stay tuned!
